Program: SMART Recovery

SMART Recovery’s 4-Point Program is the organization’s flagship secular program serving those with an addictive behavior, including both substance and activity/process addictions. Trained facilitators lead effective mutual support group discussions on these topics:

  1. Building and maintaining motivation
  2. Coping with urges and cravings
  3. Managing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors
  4. Living a balanced life
Related tools consistent with evidence-based motivational and cognitive behavioral theories are also offered and discussed.

Specific audiences: Adults Welcome

Anyone 18 and over fitting the purpose of the above program is welcome to join the meeting. Please read the program description to make sure it's the right meeting for you.

This meeting has limited accessibility for wheelchair users, as the meeting room and facilities are on separate floors with stairs to access.

It is open to all you don’t need to let us know beforehand you’ll be attending. Just turn up and introduce yourself to the facilitator. However individuals may be declined if intoxicated/ under the influence of substances.

Friends/relatives are not permitted to sit in on this meeting due to our confidentiality policy, as some attendees will also be CGL service users.

In the event of exceptional cases ,i.e. individuals excluded from The Becon Recovery Service, or legal restrictions affecting specific individuals, they will not be permitted to attend this SMART meeting.

There is nearby public parking.
